Through her teachings, she hopes to inspire others to elevate their awareness, process emotions, and realize they are much more than their body or mind.

  • Denise

    E-RYT500, YACEP, CSHP, CYVT

Denise was led to yoga after a vehicle accident while on an opera tour. The residual pain from severe whiplash caused her to look beyond what traditional medicine offered. This was the start of her love for yoga. Now, over twenty-five years later, she is a certified YACEP Yoga and YogaVoice® Instructor. She has additional training in restorative yoga, chair yoga, yoga nidra, meditation, pranayama and brain injury yoga. Her yoga classes are a mix of hatha and flow, laughter and focus, and are open to all levels.

In addition, Denise was introduced to kirtan at the Sivananda Ashram in the Catskills. She experienced immediate, deep healing from chanting, and has since been exploring the vibrational healing arts. A journey to Guatemala and a special experience with a one of a kind Singing Bowl deepened her awareness of sound healing within herself and inspired her to become a certified sound healing practitioner.

She travels regularly to India and has recently published her first novel, Journey to Sunyata – Mountains, Monsoons, and Magic, based on a true story. She is the founder of Sound Awakenings and offers classes and workshops all around the world.

  • Amanda C

    ERYT 200

Amanda’s journey began in 2013 when, after years as a gymnast and track athlete she sought a physical outlet that was more kind to her body. Amanda immediately fell in love with the challenging, yet forgiving nature of yoga, specifically the cornerstone principle of asana - to honor the body. Through consistent visits to her mat, Amanda deepened her connection to her practice, and it became clear to her just how much more yoga had to offer. Living her yoga on and off the mat, Amanda gained new perspective in her life and realized that in order to continue on her path, she would need to share the joy and benefits of yoga with others. She was fortunate enough to complete her RYT-200 certification in 2017 at the PowerFlow School of Yoga under the amazing instruction of Stacey Bell and Carrie Parker-Gasteleu, as well as assistant and mentor, Christine Joseph. Expanding her connection to both her practice and her students, Amanda completed Yin yoga training with PowerFlow in 2019 as well. Amanda’s approach to each class ensures that her yogis increase their connection to their practice and to the world around them, ready to face life with a balanced perspective of strength, softness, confidence, forgiveness and inner calm.

A Jersey Shore local, certified Intuitive Eating counselor, shamanic earth-based energy healer, and avid rock climber, she respects the ever-changing nature of both our inner and outer landscapes. • Megan

    RYT 500

As a yoga instructor, Megan is dedicated to cultivating a nurturing, nonjudgmental space for self-discovery. She meets her students where they’re at, while also inspiring them to embrace challenges and empower themselves.

She completed her 200-hour Vinyasa and SEL training with Breathe for Change, her 300-hour with Lakshmi Rising, and Yin Training at Home Power. All three are on a mission to enhance the well-being of communities and to cultivate strength, peace, and balance on and off the mat. In addition, Megan is a level III Reiki practitioner, trained in Usui Reiki Ryoho.

Megan has over 15 years of experience as a public school teacher in NJ and spent almost three years teaching English in Spain. Originally planned as a one-year experience in her late thirties wound up to be much longer as it allowed her to really step outside the competitive, fast-paced culture she had been immersed in for most of her life. What she gained most from this time abroad was the absolute importance of slowing down, turning inward, and reconnecting with one’s true nature.
